Selling Homes Quickly in a Tough Market: Curb Appeal
CURB APPEAL
The first part of your house that potential home buyers will see is the exterior. You may have heard this referred to as “curb appeal.” When buyers pull up to your home for the first time, they NEED to feel as though your home is a place that they can pull up to for years to come. If they don’t, then they will almost always move onto the next home especially in today’s tough market. Does your curb appeal need a make over? No problem, that’s what we’re here for! If you start with the items below, you will be well on your way to transforming your home’s exterior appearance.
* Mow the lawn and edge around the driveway/sidewalk area.
* Trim the bushes and “limb up” your trees in the front yard (to “limb up” means to trim up the tree limbs closest to the ground so your home is able to be clearly seen from the street).
* Blow leaves, dust, and other debris off of the roof, gutters, siding, decks, and garage.
* Remove all “items” that can be seen from the front of your home (including junk cars, lawnmowers, boats, etc.).
* Clean entire exterior with house wash (Olympic House Wash from Lowe’s works great!).
